What is a nameserver?

A nameserver or name server is a hardware or software server that keeps and maintains the DNS records for a domain. It serves as a directory where all DNS information about the domain – website, email etc - and corresponding IP address information can be checked or updated.

Our nameservers are ns1.switemtech.com and ns2.switemtech.com

Vanity Name servers allow you use our nameservers but have them appear customised such that they bear your domain name. This gives your nameservers a professional and branded appearance. For example if you register a domain – ilovetechies.com – you may have vanity nameservers for your domain as ns1.ilovetechies.com and ns2.ilovetechies.com. If you require vanity nameservers, please open a ticket at the client area.
